California RN/LVN Licensed Inpatient Review Nurse

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Remote California RN/LVN Licensed Inpatient Review Nurse to work weekends, responsible for performing inpatient reviews, generating referrals for ancillary services, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure appropriate patient care levels.

Key responsibilities

• Performs reviews of inpatients with complex medical and social problems
• Generates referrals to ancillary service providers and community agencies in collaboration with primary care physicians
• Monitors and documents clinical criteria while communicating with patients, families, and healthcare providers

Required qualifications

• Active, valid, and unrestricted LVN or RN license in California
• Minimum of 3 years of general case management experience, including 2 years in a managed care setting
• Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing Program
• Knowledge of Medicare Managed Care Plans
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
