California RN Medical Supply Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Medi-Cal MMIS account for the Department of Health Care Services, the part-time Medical Supply Specialist (RN - California) will manage referrals, process claims requiring medical review expertise, and engage in policy discussions, primarily working remotely with occasional onsite meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Responding to referrals from DHCS within 4 hours of notification
• Reviewing policy and attending meetings with DHCS
• Processing claims that require medical review expertise and responding to internal department referrals

Required qualifications

• Active California RN license
• Experience with medical supplies
• Experience in the healthcare industry, including insurance and provider support
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
