California Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support a growing finance team, the contract Senior Accountant will manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting while working fully remotely for a duration of 6-7 months.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and execute month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses while preparing for internal and external audits
- Analyze accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen controls
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on NetSuite ERP experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and data analysis
