California Senior Workers Comp Specialist

Job Summary

Managing a large inventory of highly complex claims, the full-time California Senior Workers Comp Specialist will evaluate compensability and liability, lead comprehensive claims investigations, and negotiate claim settlements while working remotely from the USA.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage complex claims to assess liability and compensability
• Conduct thorough claims investigations and analyze coverage and damages
• Negotiate claim settlements and authorize payments within assigned limits

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 13 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling
• Preferred experience in California Workers' Compensation claims
• Completion of or progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred
• Expert knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures
