A company is looking for a State Unemployment Tax Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of unemployment insurance (UI) tax rates and resolve discrepancies with state agencies
- Develop strategies to improve client tax positions and support planning through reports and projections
- Manage incoming tax documents, maintain organized records, and ensure compliance through agency communication
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a tax-related role involving State Unemployment Insurance (SUI)
- Exposure to multi-state tax environments or working with state agencies is beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Analytical approach to working with complex datasets
- Experience organizing workloads and contributing in both solo and group efforts
