Job Summary

Reviewing confidential clinical information, the full-time California Transfer Referral Specialist will provide personalized referrals to individuals or physicians requiring specialty services, while working remotely and facilitating connections to appropriate Sutter facilities and specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate referrals to appropriate Sutter facilities and specialists based on clinical information
• Assess referral requests to determine the appropriate level of care and resources needed
• Maintain effective communication and relationships with healthcare providers and patients throughout the referral process

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant experience in healthcare or managed care
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes, managed care requirements, and HIPAA regulations
• Familiarity with medical terminology and community resources
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and effectively
