Job Summary
A company is looking for a Claims Adjuster II responsible for managing workers' compensation claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage initial contacts to gather information, verify coverage, and develop action plans for claims
- Analyze case facts to establish reserves and evaluate benefits in compliance with regulations
- Coordinate medical treatment and collaborate with defense attorneys to mitigate legal exposure
Required Qualifications
- 2 - 5 years of workers' compensation claims adjusting or insurance experience
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and claim management procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- State certification or license may be required, with preferred certifications including WCCP, AIC, ARM, or CPCU
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and decision-making skills
