California Workers' Compensation Claims Associate

Job Summary

Analyzing reported lower-level workers' compensation claims, the full-time California Workers' Compensation Claims Associate will determine benefits due and ensure ongoing adjudication of claims in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust medical-only and minor lost-time claims under supervision and support claims representatives with complex cases
• Process workers' compensation claims, determining compensability, monitoring reserve accuracy, and filing documentation with state agencies
• Communicate claim actions with claimants, clients, and medical contacts while ensuring proper documentation and coding of claim files

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of California workers' compensation claims experience
• 1 year of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Preferred SIP Certification
