Job Summary
Managing a caseload of California workers' compensation claims, the full-time remote Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner will investigate claims, determine compensability, manage reserves, and ensure compliance with California regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage California workers' compensation claims from initial assignment through final resolution
- Conduct thorough investigations and evaluate coverage, liability, and compensability in accordance with California Labor Code
- Negotiate settlements and oversee litigation while maintaining accurate and compliant documentation
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience handling workers' compensation claims
- Active California Adjuster License, experience with self-insured claims programs (OSIP or SIP), or Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) designation
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and claims handling practices
- Experience managing indemnity claims and claim resolution strategies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systems
