California Workers' Compensation Examiner

Job Summary

Analyzing complex workers' compensation claims, the full-time California Workers' Compensation Examiner will determine benefits, negotiate settlements, and manage claims through resolution while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and gather information to process complex workers' compensation claims and manage them to timely resolution
• Negotiate settlements and calculate reserves, ensuring claims are adequately funded throughout their lifecycle
• Prepare necessary state filings and manage the litigation process for timely and cost-effective claims resolution

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of California workers' compensation claims experience
• Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations
• Experience with Medicare offsets, Social Security offsets, and subrogation recoveries
• SIP certification preferred
