Job Summary
To analyze complex California workers' compensation claims, the full-time salaried Workers' Compensation Examiner will adjudicate claims, negotiate settlements, and manage litigation processes while working remotely from California.
Key responsibilities
- Analyzes and processes complex workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and manages claims to resolution
- Negotiates settlements within designated authority and calculates appropriate reserves throughout the claim's lifecycle
- Manages the litigation process and ensures timely reporting and responses to excess carriers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Four years of workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification must be obtained within one year of hire
