California Workers' Compensation Examiner

Job Summary

Analyzing and processing complex workers' compensation claims, the full-time California Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner will negotiate settlements, manage litigation processes, and ensure timely claim resolutions in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Investigates and gathers information to determine claim exposure and manages claims through action plans
• Negotiates claim settlements and ensures timely and appropriate payments and adjustments
• Coordinates vendor referrals and utilizes cost containment techniques to reduce overall claim costs

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of California workers' compensation claims experience
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of insurance principles and laws relevant to workers' compensation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical skills
