Key responsibilities
- Supervises a team of workers compensation claims examiners and technical staff, delegating duties as necessary
- Identifies trends and issues, advising management on improvements and coordinating office projects
- Acts as a second level of appeal for client and claimant issues, ensuring proper resolution of claims
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Six years of California workers compensation claims management experience, including two years in a supervisory role
- California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification must be obtained within one year of hire
- Strong technical knowledge of California workers' compensation claims
- Experience in providing guidance on complex and high-exposure claims
