Job Summary
Serving as the first point of contact for the Bureau of Justice Assistance's Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program, the full-time remote Call Center Specialist will answer inbound calls, capture and verify application data, and document interactions to ensure efficient service for survivors and public safety agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for customers through the BJA PSOB 1-800 Customer Call Center
- Document every call and application interaction in the PSOB case management system and PSOB 2.0 Portal
- Provide accurate information and proactive customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- 6+ years of benefits/claims specific experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen meeting the DOJ Residency Requirement
- Ability to pass a Government security background investigation for a moderate risk public trust position
- Home office within the United States with appropriate internet and telephone service
