Job Summary
Supporting the Bureau of Justice Assistance's Public Safety Officers' Benefits Program, the full-time remote Call Center Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for callers, manage application data, and ensure accurate documentation of interactions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for customers via the BJA PSOB Customer Call Center
- Capture and verify application data in the PSOB case management system and document interactions in the PSOB 2.0 Portal
- Provide proactive customer service and respond to general inquiries while forwarding calls to appropriate PSOB staff as needed
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- 4+ years of benefits/claims specific experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen meeting the DOJ Residency Requirement
- Ability to pass a Government security background investigation for a moderate risk public trust position
- Home office within the U.S. equipped with appropriate internet and telephone service
