Job Summary
Providing legal support to product and business teams, the full-time salaried Canadian Associate Corporate Counsel will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, and communicate legal requirements effectively in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements and legal documents
- Providing legal support and advice to product and business teams
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and protection regulations
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from an accredited university
- Membership in a Canadian provincial or territorial law society
- 2+ years of experience as a tech legal counsel (in-house or law firm)
- Strong negotiating skills with legal and business counterparties
- Experience negotiating tech agreements, including NDA and SaaS agreements
