Canadian Licensed Product Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Product Counsel with a Canadian law license and payments experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise internal BNPL and payments clients on compliance with the Retail Payments Activities Act (RPAA)
• Provide legal guidance on customer IDV requirements and implementation of consumer-driven regulations
• Support product management with regulatory compliance, including drafting terms of use and addressing regulatory issues

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience
• Must hold a Canadian law license
• Significant experience in payments law
• Knowledge of consumer laws, rules, and regulations
• Preferred experience as product counsel
