Job Summary
To support the growth of quantum computing research and development, the In-house Patent Agent will work in a hybrid role in Burnaby, BC, or fully remote across Canada, focusing on identifying innovations, drafting and prosecuting patents, and managing the intellectual property portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate to identify, evaluate, and protect valuable innovations
- Draft and prosecute patent applications across diverse technical areas
- Support the growth, management, and continuous improvement of the patent portfolio
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Computing Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience drafting and prosecuting patents before a Patent Office
- Registration as a Canadian Patent Agent (or equivalent certification) is an asset
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
