Cancer Screening Advocate

Job Summary

Working remotely as a contractor, the Cancer Screening Advocate will coordinate screening appointments, serve as a liaison between patients and the care team, and ensure efficient scheduling processes for timely cancer screenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments by contacting healthcare facilities and assisting patients with understanding costs
• Verify and update facility information to ensure accurate patient referrals based on insurance and preferences
• Retrieve and upload appointment results and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system

Required Qualifications:

• Experience using EHR systems in a healthcare environment
• Expert knowledge of Google Apps and macOS
• Ability to handle stressful situations and demonstrate resilience in a fast-paced environment
• Access to a quiet, private, and secure work location compliant with HIPAA standards
• Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for helping patients navigate healthcare complexities
