Cantonese Contract Interpreter

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contracted basis, the Cantonese Contract Interpreter will provide consecutive interpretation services while adhering to client protocols and maintaining confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive, first-person interpretation for various clients, including medical and legal fields
• Follow all interpreter protocols and procedures as required by clients
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge relevant to client needs

Required qualifications

• Updated resume in English submitted at the time of application
• Completion of English Language Proficiency with a rating of technical proficiency (3 or higher on the ILR scale)
• Successful completion of a mock oral interpretation session with a passing score
• Completion of Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment with a passing score
• Full background check and security screen, along with a signed commitment to confidentiality and ethics compliance
