Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Cantonese Interpreter will handle video-phone calls to facilitate communication between Cantonese and English speakers across various industries, ensuring accurate interpretation while maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to video and audio interpreting sessions, delivering services in a professional manner
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain knowledge of industry-specific terminology and protocols
• Render accurate interpretations while managing sensitive conversations and adhering to client instructions

Required qualifications

• Fluency in Cantonese and English, with an understanding of cultural dynamics
• Experience or education in language-related fields such as teaching, translation, or interpretation is preferred
• Excellent listening and retention skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation
• Ability to remain neutral and objective, especially during sensitive conversations
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
