Job Summary

Providing effective telephonic interpretation, the remote Cantonese Interpreter will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient community while ensuring superior customer service and adherence to professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting services
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and industry-specific best practices

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Cantonese
• Technology proficient in web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
• A quiet and secure interpreting space free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
