Capacity Expansion Model Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Capacity Expansion Model Developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks to link capacity expansion models and production cost models, automating data input and result translation
• Create automated workflows to estimate power flow transfer constraints across spatial regions using utility-sourced data
• Automate transmission network designs for generation interconnections and develop methods for downscaling zonal results for reliability analysis

Required Qualifications

• Relevant PhD, or Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience
• Domain knowledge of bulk power system modeling, including capacity expansion and production cost modeling
• Understanding of power systems and power flow modeling fundamentals
• Experience in optimization modeling with proficiency in programming languages such as GAMS, Python, or Julia
• Experience working with large data sets
