Capacity Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the planning and optimization of hardware infrastructure, the remote Cluster & Systems Capacity Engineer will manage capacity forecasting, resource optimization, and cross-functional alignment to ensure reliable and cost-efficient scaling of cloud storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain capacity demand forecasts and predictive models for storage, compute, and network resources
• Monitor cluster performance and adjust deployment plans to ensure system stability and optimal customer experience
• Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to align capacity plans with budgetary and strategic objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field
• 3-6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Capacity Planning, or similar roles
• Familiarity with Cloud Storage infrastructure and large-scale distributed systems
• Experience in capacity modeling and performance analysis
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel/Google Sheets
