Job Summary
Driving a multi-year capital campaign, the full-time Capital Campaign Director will lead strategy, fundraising, and donor engagement efforts remotely, with a strong preference for candidates in the Bay Area, to support the transformation of a new movement hub for community-led governance and organizing.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and implement a multi-phase campaign strategy, managing the campaign budget and reporting progress to stakeholders
- Build and manage a portfolio of major donors, cultivating relationships and soliciting significant gifts
- Cultivate a campaign culture aligned with abolitionist principles, representing the organization in various philanthropic and movement-building spaces
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of fundraising experience, including 3+ years in capital campaigns or major gifts
- Demonstrated success in securing six-figure+ gifts and leading multi-stakeholder fundraising efforts
- Strong relationship-building skills across philanthropic and movement spaces
- Familiarity with integrated-capital strategies and experience in managing campaign budgets
- Deep commitment to the abolition of the prison industrial complex and alignment with the organization's values
