Captive Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Captive Accountant to manage financial operations for captive insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain financials for multiple captive insurance companies and reconcile bank accounts monthly
• Prepare monthly journal entries and generate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Coordinate premium and claim reporting between external carriers and third-party administrators

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting/Finance (preferred)
• 2+ years accounting experience in a relevant industry (preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
• Basic MS Excel skills
