Job Summary
To ensure efficient access to behavioral health services, the full-time remote Care Access Coordinator will manage administrative tasks, support clinical operations, and provide member and provider assistance while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Process authorizations, manage documentation, and ensure workflow efficiency across multiple systems
- Serve as a frontline resource for benefit and authorization inquiries, delivering empathetic communication and escalating high-risk situations to clinical staff
- Triage cases and facilitate care coordination by sharing key data with clinical teams to support continuity of care
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related healthcare field plus 1+ year of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting, or a high school diploma plus 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong computer proficiency and ability to work within multiple systems simultaneously
- Ability to talk and type simultaneously during live member interactions
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check upon hire and throughout employment
- High-speed internet service with specific performance requirements for remote work
