Job Summary
A company is looking for a Care Center Agent to serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing information and assistance over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for patients by phone, following medical practice protocols
- Maintain an accurate scheduling system and ensure timely updates to the master schedule
- Obtain referrals, authorizations, and verify patient insurance information
Required Qualifications
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Minimum: Proven basic computer skills and ability to type 35 words per minute
- Preferred: One year of experience in a switchboard, medical practice, or call center
