Job Summary
Care Center Agent, a full-time position responsible for scheduling patient appointments and verifying insurance information, with a fully-remote option after initial in-person training.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedules appointments for patients by phone and maintains accurate scheduling records
- Obtains referrals, authorizations, and verifies patient demographic and insurance information
- Communicates patient concerns to supervisors and escalates issues as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven basic computer skills and ability to type 35 words per minute
- Preferred experience of one year in a switchboard, medical practice, or call center
- Preferred knowledge of medical terminology
