Job Summary
Acting as the first point of contact for patients, the full-time Care Center Agent will schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and provide exceptional customer service while working remotely after initial onsite training.
Key responsibilities
- Schedules patient appointments by phone and communicates effectively about their needs
- Maintains an accurate scheduling system and promptly updates records for cancellations or additions
- Obtains referrals, authorizations, and demographic information while verifying insurance details for reimbursement
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven basic computer skills with the ability to type at least 35 words per minute
- Preferred experience of one year in a switchboard, medical practice, or call center
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
