Job Summary
Scheduling appointments and providing patient support, the full-time hybrid Care Center Agent will serve as the first point of contact for patients, utilizing exceptional customer service skills to manage inquiries and verify insurance information.
Key responsibilities
- Schedules appointments for patients by phone and maintains an accurate scheduling system
- Obtains referrals, authorizations, and verifies demographic and insurance information
- Communicates patient concerns and system issues to the supervisor and escalates as necessary
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Terminology preferred
- Proven basic computer skills with a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
- One year of experience in a switchboard, medical practice, or call center preferred
