Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the Care Coordinator Auth Scheduling Specialist will manage patient referrals, obtain necessary authorizations, and coordinate scheduling for surgical procedures and diagnostic testing while ensuring patients understand their insurance coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Completes patient referrals and coordinates with practices and departments
• Obtains authorizations and prepares financial estimates for patients
• Schedules surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, confirming accuracy of schedules

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Computer experience is necessary
• Understanding of insurance coverage and medical necessity policies preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Knowledge of medical records software preferred
