Care Coordinator Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient care coordination, the full-time Care Coordinator Auth Scheduling Specialist will manage referrals, obtain necessary authorizations, and schedule procedures while working remotely Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Completes patient referrals and coordinates with relevant practices and departments
• Obtains authorizations and prepares financial estimates for patients
• Schedules surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, ensuring accurate and timely allocations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience with insurance coverage and medical necessity policies preferred
• Computer proficiency is required
• Customer service experience is necessary
• Knowledge of medical records software preferred
