Care Coordinator Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient care coordination, the full-time Care Coordinator Auth Scheduling Specialist will manage referrals, obtain necessary authorizations, and schedule surgical procedures while working remotely and residing within 50 miles of the Main Campus in Winston-Salem.

Key responsibilities

• Completes patient referrals and coordinates with referring and receiving practices
• Obtains authorizations and prepares financial estimates for patients
• Schedules surgical procedures and diagnostic testing, ensuring accurate time allocation

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Computer experience required
• Thorough understanding of insurance coverage and medical necessity policies preferred
• Knowledge of medical records software preferred
• Customer service experience required
