Job Summary

To support the Utilization Management process, the remote Care Specialist, Telephonic Intake will manage non-clinical tasks including data entry, authorization requests, and case research while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure member care plans are executed effectively.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform accurate intake and data entry for UM authorization requests and referrals across all lines of business
  • Triage cases and assign receipts to appropriate teams while responding to inquiries from providers, facilities, and members
  • Maintain documentation in the medical management workflow tool and provide phone management for incoming and outgoing calls
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of client-facing or data entry experience in a healthcare environment
  • Previous system user experience in a highly electronic environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays as necessary
