Cash Application Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cash Application Specialist to manage cash transactions and resolve payment discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify unapplied payments, create debit memos, and communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues
• Reconcile COD statements and contact relevant parties regarding unapplied payments
• Assist in training co-workers and process local and foreign wire deposits while posting daily receipts to customer accounts

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical school preferred, with an Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting being a plus
• Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience in an Accounting function or Cash Transactions role
• Technical knowledge of Cash Accounting principles and processes
• Computer experience in data entry, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret business documents and perform basic calculations
