Cash Application Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cash Application Specialist responsible for managing incoming payments within the revenue cycle management department.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post and reconcile all payments, including checks and electronic transactions
• Process Workers' Compensation payments and ensure correct application of adjustments and denial codes
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and maintain audit-ready documentation

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare cash posting, preferably in an RCM environment
• Strong experience with Workers' Compensation payments and understanding of EOBs/ERAs
• Experience with multiple EHR/Practice Management systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid skills in other Microsoft Office applications
