Cash Application Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a team of posting specialists, the full-time Cash Application Team Lead will oversee payment posting, cash application, and daily cash reconciliation in a fully remote environment, while also managing the testing and launch of a new revenue cycle platform.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the VP of Revenue Cycle and IT to finalize the new platform's cash application functionality and lead user acceptance testing
• Own daily cash reconciliation across multiple bank accounts, ensuring accurate posting and variance resolution
• Monitor and optimize automated posting processes, maintaining posting rules and addressing exceptions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of healthcare cash application/payment posting experience, including ERA/835 and EOB processing
• Extensive experience in daily cash reconciliation and balancing posted activity to bank accounts
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role, with experience guiding teams through operational changes
• Proficiency with revenue cycle/billing systems and strong Excel skills, including reconciliation and pivot tables
