Cash Posting Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Cash Posting Representative will be responsible for timely and accurate payment posting for various reimbursement methods, including ERAs, EOBs, and patient payments, while also managing adjustments and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Post payments and adjustments accurately on all accounts daily, balancing batches with deposited amounts
• Locate patient accounts for payment posting and address unidentified/unapplied accounts regularly
• Monitor trends in cash posting and report issues to leadership while participating in special projects to improve operations

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in reimbursement and/or accounts receivable, preferably in a hospital setting
• Basic knowledge of business office terminology and the full revenue cycle process
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with AS400
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize customer issues effectively
• High-speed internet access and a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
