Casualty Claims Supervisor

Job Summary

To oversee a team of claims professionals, the full-time Casualty Claims Supervisor will manage claim settlements, monitor team performance, and implement department initiatives, with the flexibility of a fully remote or hybrid work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Review and authorize settlements within authority, escalating issues with recommended actions as necessary
• Monitor team performance through audits and coaching, providing career development guidance to direct reports
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, championing departmental initiatives and managing change

Required qualifications

• Five to seven years of Casualty (Auto and GL) commercial lines claims experience
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related insurance experience is required
• Leadership or supervisory training is desirable
• Completion of AIC, AIM, or SCLA designations is a plus
