Catastrophe Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Catastrophe Analyst to support the Catastrophe Modeling team by developing tools and applications for internal processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and automate existing manual processes by designing and building new software tools
• Analyze accounts and portfolios using Catastrophe Modeling software, ensuring accuracy before delivery
• Collaborate on portfolio optimization strategies and review new software tools for integration

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
• Extensive experience with Excel, including external data connections and pivot tables
• Experience using SQL, Python, or equivalent coding language
• Ability to work closely with analysts to bridge business problems and technical solutions
• Good written and verbal communication skills
