Job Summary

Analyzing property data to assess catastrophe risk, the full-time remote Catastrophe Modeling Analyst will prepare modeling data, utilize catastrophe models, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support effective pricing and risk management strategies.

Key responsibilities
  • Collaborate with data engineers and underwriters to gather and prepare data for catastrophe modeling
  • Run analyses using proprietary catastrophe models to evaluate risk and generate loss results
  • Prepare analytical reports and communicate findings to support underwriting and actuarial teams
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 6+ years of catastrophe modeling experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and familiarity with catastrophe modeling software such as RMS
  • Participation in continuing education and progress towards CCRA, CEEM, and/or ARe certification preferred
  • Knowledge of data quality assessment and scenario modeling techniques
