Category Manager

Job Summary

Serving as a strategic business partner, the full-time Category Manager will develop and execute category strategies to drive operational efficiencies and value while collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, with the flexibility to work remotely, hybrid, or onsite in Kansas or Missouri.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate with business areas to understand needs and deliver solutions aligned with organizational goals
• Negotiate complex contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal value and quality
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and coordinating practical enhancements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred; or three years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing or vendor management
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and lifecycle management
• Strong financial and analytical acumen with experience in leveraging data for strategic decision-making
• Knowledge of category management principles and strategic sourcing methodologies
• Experience with indirect sourcing in technology or related supplier categories preferred
