Category Manager

Job Summary

To support the Direct Materials Category Team, the full-time remote Category Manager will develop and execute sourcing strategies for commercial controllers and drives, manage supplier performance, and lead RFP/RFQ activities in collaboration with field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies to ensure 100% spend under management and achieve annual savings targets
• Act as the primary supplier manager for assigned commodity categories, overseeing performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Manage procurement processes from material delivery to installation, coordinating with third-party suppliers to ensure efficient operations

Required qualifications

• BS or BA in business, supply chain, or engineering
• 4-6 years of related experience in an electronics supply chain function or elevator field experience
• Experience with vendor sourcing and familiarity with Global JDE & associated systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Ability to read engineering drawings and customer specifications for elevators/escalators
