Category Manager, Solar Equipment

Job Summary

Leading Solar PV and Energy Storage sourcing activities, the full-time Category Manager, Solar Equipment will manage supplier relationships, develop category strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the segmentation of spend into categories to enhance operational excellence and develop overall category strategies
• Manage the Preferred Supplier List, negotiate contracts, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic suppliers
• Drive Continuous Improvement across the supply chain, focusing on metrics such as savings and on-time delivery

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3+ years of procurement experience, preferably in engineering, procurement, and construction projects
• Experience in negotiations, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and contract development
• Skills in benchmarking, market analysis, and procurement project management
• Demonstrated abilities to coordinate across internal and external teams
