Category Specialist - Bakery Deli

Job Summary

To increase Bakery/Deli sales through strategic marketing and customer engagement, the full-time Category Specialist - Bakery Deli will collaborate with sales teams, create sales materials, and educate account managers while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate competitive information and coordinate customer training with vendors and brokers
• Prepare proposals, including pricing and customer assessments, while maintaining a library of category data
• Travel to solicit orders and present promotional opportunities to regular and prospective customers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent applicable experience required
• 5-7 years of related experience in sales or category management
• Understanding of sales programs, promotions, and margin profitability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic Access
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
