CCS Certified Coder III

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote CCS Certified Coder III, who will be responsible for the accurate and timely assignment of ICD 10 CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT codes for various patient records, ensuring compliance with coding standards and productivity expectations.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviews and interprets patient records to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes
• Performs coding and abstracting tasks to support accurate billing and data quality
• Mentors newer coders and collaborates with the Coding Management Team for accurate code assignment

Required qualifications:

• CCS credential required
• College degree in Health Information Management or completion of an AHIMA Approved Certificate Program, or one year of coding experience in an acute care setting
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
