CCS Certified Inpatient Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Audit Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits and provide rationale for identified changes
• Organize and prioritize multiple cases to ensure optimal workflow and turnaround time
• Provide coder education through the auditing process and maintain knowledge of regulatory changes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing
• CCS certification preferred; RHIA or RHIT also preferred
• Maintain a 95% DRG accuracy rate
• Experience with various software including Epic and Cerner
• Extensive knowledge and experience in inpatient auditing
