CCS Certified Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Level 1 Trauma Inpatient Coding Specialist with CCS certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coding services and perform accurate analysis of medical records for ICD-10-CM and PCS code assignment
• Work with the CDI team on DRG mismatches and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Maintain quality and productivity standards while communicating professionally with clients

Required Qualifications

• CCS certification is required; CPC or COC certification from AAPC is also acceptable
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient coding, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Advanced knowledge of EMR and billing systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Must maintain ongoing productivity and quality scores of 95% or higher
