CCS Certified IP Facility Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an IP Facility Coder III CCS (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ED records, and Home Health & Hospice records using ICD-9/10 CM and CPT-4 classification systems
• Review medical records to assign appropriate codes for financial reimbursement and research in accordance with regulations
• Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must possess one of the following coding certifications at hire: CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT/RHIA, with one credential achieved within one year of hire
• Three to five years of coding experience required
